New Student Registration

Welcome to Orange Public Schools and Turkey Hill School!

If you are new to Orange and have been assigned to the Turkey Hill District, you will find the necessary registration information below. Please note that you may call the Board of Education Office at 203-891-8020 if you are new to Orange and do not yet know which school your child will be attending.

NOTE: To begin the registration process, please fill out the contact form below.

You will be contacted shortly after by email with instructions to create your parent portal to input the required information. Please see the enrollment instructions below for detailed information on creating your school account and uploading the required documents.  Your child(ren) will not be able to start school unless ALL required documents are submitted.

Enrollment Process Instructions

The following documents are required to complete the enrollment process:

An * denotes a form that should be printed and filled out. An ! denotes a form that must be filled out by the student's physician:

2 forms of Proof of Residency *

Birth Certificate of Child to be Registered

Home Language Survey

Release of Records Form *

Medical Forms

Physician Completed Medical Form !

 

Additional Medical Forms Only if Applicable

Medication Administration Form ! is required in order for the school nurse to administer any medications, prescription or otherwise, to your child.

Allergy Form ! if your student has life threatening allergies that need to be documented by the school nurse

Asthma Form ! if your student has Asthma

Please note that your child is not officially enrolled in school and may not begin attending until all documents have been received.

Registration Checklist

__ Filled out Enrollment Forms through the PowerSchool Portal

__ Printed out residency form and obtained 2 forms of proof of residency

__ Uploaded child's birth certificate

__ Completed the Home Language Survey (required for ALL families)

__ Submitted the signed Release of School Records form

__ Had child's physician fill out medical form

__ Had child's physician fill out allergy or asthma forms (if applicable), filled out Medication Form (if applicable)
