Welcome to Mary L. Tracy School!

The big day you’ve been waiting for is just around the corner. The first day of kindergarten is a very exciting and memorable occasion for students and families. The MLT Staff and I are equally excited and anxiously await the arrival of our "special friends" on Monday, August 29th.

Over the years, Mary L. Tracy School has earned a fine reputation and it is my intention along with our talented staff, to continue to provide the same high-quality, educational experience for Orange’s youngest students and their families in a safe and nurturing environment.

The Mary L. Tracy School website is designed to provide you with up-to-date information about our district, your school and its events. The district website has been enhanced with the addition of a ‘resource’ tab for parents. We will continue to use the Virtual Backpack feature of the website whereby notices can be viewed online and downloaded at your convenience.

One of the most important tools in our technology toolbox is PowerSchool. This is the district student data and information system which will give you access to information regarding your child’s education. Alert Solutions will serve as an additional mode of communication whereby you will receive email messages from the school and PTO. More information will follow with how to register and log in to PowerSchool. Collaboratively, the Board of Education, administration, teachers and PTO seek to provide you with accurate and timely information about happenings in our school, district and within the community. Please check the website periodically for updates and be sure to provide us with up-to-date contact information and email addresses.

At Mary L. Tracy School we deliver an academically rigorous curriculum, closely aligned to The Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Activities and lessons are thoughtfully planned to address academic standards while integrating the arts and cultural experiences so that children learn and have FUN!

Mary L. Tracy teachers will continue to work as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) by meeting regularly to analyze student data in order to make informed instructional decisions. A “one-size fits all” education does not exist at MLT; we continue to implement a Scientifically Researched-Based Intervention (SRBI) model to best meet the needs of all our students, for those needing extra support or enrichment.

Welcome to Mary L. Tracy School: “The place where the love of learning and the love of children are celebrated each and every day!” We are looking forward to our time spent together during the upcoming school year.
