Ms. Heinig
I am Ms. Alyssa Heinig. This will be an exciting year filled with lots of new friends, adventures, and learning. This will be my fourth year teaching and I look forward to growing alongside you. I went to Southern Connecticut for my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also received my Masters at Southern in Emotional & Behavioral Disorders. I previously taught in Meriden and New Haven. These diverse experiences have enriched my understanding of teaching. I grew up in Wallingford, and just bought my first house last year in Wallingford. I also have a golden retriever puppy named Bean! I love to take hikes, spend time with my nephews, and work on house projects.
In this classroom you are cared about. My goal is to encourage you to be the best person you can be and support you in every way. I promise to do my best to create a safe, caring and engaging learning environment to help you learn and grow both inside the classroom and outside the classroom. You have wonderful gifts, strengths, and talents and I can’t wait for you to share them with your classmates and me. Please feel free to contact me throughout the school year. I want to be your partner in supporting your child in any way. ClassDojo is the easiest and fastest way to contact me, however, feel free to email me at any time as well. I will add families to the ClassDojo app and you will receive a message telling you to download the app. I love to take and share pictures so make sure you keep a lookout for those.
