It Is Time to Register for Kindergarten! Changes to Pre-K Program for 2013-14
Hopefully, our pride in this new district website shines through. An enormous amount planning and craft has gone into making this site as informative and easy-to-use as possible. We realize it will take a little while for you to become familiar with the new features and to find what you need and use most often, but we hope what we have created here is well worth the effort.
From the 'Calendar' webpage on your school’s site, consider signing up for ‘alerts’ so that anytime we make a change, you’ll be notified. There are also RRS-feeds on the news pages. The tiny icons on the right of each page, let you forward the page to others, print it, or zoom in or out as you choose.
Now, for the left-hand menus:
- Use the "School Information" tab if you’re looking for MLT's phone number or address, the hours we're open, or an email address for a teacher or staff member. If you click on this tab, you’ll see that is where you’ll find the school nurse, the mission statement, and the principal’s message, as well.
- We ask for patience with the “School Activities” section; it’s the least developed section. We need the teachers and students to begin developing our content in this area.
- The 'Virtual Backpack" holds all those 'notices' we send home with your child. If you've lost your soccer or Little League registration or the flyer for next Saturday's pancake breakfast, look in the 'Virtual Backpack.'
- “Policies and Procedures” is where you’ll find the Parent/Student Handbook, and our new child-friendly policies for technology, sexual harassment, and bullying.
At the top of the page, find 'quick links' to the staff directory, the calendar, and our new and old programs and interventions, including Lexia, Accelerated Reader, and many others.
